We fell instantly in love with Baby "L". What is not to love about his fingers, his toes, and his cute, little nose? And of course, we can't forget to mention his head full of dark, handsome hair. My Friends Photography thinks photographing newborns is absolutely the best. Not only do we get to take photographs of beautiful babies, we get to cuddle them. Perhaps you might even talk us into changing a diaper or two!

L-O-V-E
Have we ever told you how much we love our job! It may sound a little cliche, but we absolutely adore being able to capture "true love" every time we do a photo session. Whether that love is between a mother and her 1 week old first born, a family a five, or a set of young siblings, it is always so much fun to watch everyone interact with each other and be able to turn those interactions into life-long memories that can be frozen in time and cherished by all.
We had such a great time following this engaged couple around some of their favorite stomping grounds. This couple is a "little bit country" (please excuse the Donny and Marie Osmond pun . . . wow, never thought I'd go there!) when talking about where they were born and raised. But they are also a "little bit city" (bet you thought I was going to say "rock and roll") when thinking about where they like to spend their time and hang out.
It's really fun hanging out with young couples who are about to tie the knot. Their love is so simple, so true and so strong. It's fun to see how much they already know about one another, and also fun to think that they are just beginning their life-long journey together as a couple and will learn so much more and love so much more about each other in the years and decades to come. Everything just feels so pure.
Thanks D and R for letting us capture your life-long love! Congratulations to you both!

Better get used to it "R" . . . she will always be the victor!! :)

little trooper
We had an FANTASTIC time photographing this super-cute family. Little "C" was such a sweet little guy. Let's be honest . . . 3 year old boys are not usually the easiest subjects to photograph. Fun? Yes. Easy? No. But this little guy changed our minds with his "sure, I will smile when you want me to" attitude!

The best comment of the evening was when "C's" mom told us that the last time they got their photos taken (the department store will go un-named . . . ) it was a complete disaster and they didn't even get one good photo out of it. She went on to say that she loved the fact that we were shooting out doors and were basically just playing/following "C" around . . . music to our ears! :)

Thanks "S" family for the fun evening!

A Mother's Love
We had the wonderful opportunity to photograph this beautiful mother and daughter. It was clear by their charismatic, fun-loving interactions that they have a heartfelt bond with one another.
Hugs, kisses, and secrets flourished.
They have a wonderful road ahead of them. Thanks for letting us capture a few steps!

family beauty
Everything about this family is beautiful. Their outward beauty is obvious. But what's truly special is their inner beauty. The way they take care of each other. The way they talk to one another, and even look at one another . . . love just seems to ooze out of every corner of this family!

Big brother Noah is charismatic and charming.

Sister Avery is caring and fabulously girlie.
Little brother Eli is adorable and hilariously funny!

a new chapter
We had the honor of photographing this family at a very exciting time in their life. They are just turning the page into a brand new chapter of their family story.
Katy and Alan started their life together in St. Paul, MN. It's where they purchased their first home. It's where they made many friends. It's where Alan completed his residency. It's where Katy was a teacher and later a Literacy Coach. It's where Elliot was born. It's where they built a family . . . it's where it all began.

Yes, they have had a fabulous time here in the Twin Cities, but exciting new things are on the horizon! They are now moving on to an new place where they will continue to build their family and move on to bigger and better things!

We first captured Elliot in May, and we can't believe how much he has grown since then!

Congratulations "J" Family! We wish you nothing but the best!
