more family love

We thought it would be nice to let you peek into one of our fall sessions now that there is snow on the ground . . . might warm you up a bit.

I'm sure we have mentioned this in the past, but photo shoots in fall are where it's at. No sweat dripping down every one's face. No mosquitoes to edit out. No late session times due to the sun setting at 10:00pm. Nope. Nothing but beautiful temperatures, gorgeous colors, and fun fall fashions to wear. It's no wonder why we were so busy!

Here is an awesome family that we were happy to work with again! We had so much fun during these cuties' 6 month photo session, that we just had to come back for more.

Stud. Muffin.

This little guy was after our own hearts. Adorable, silly, fashionable.....hmm, I think I will set him up with my own daughter. I hear arranged marriages are totally in these days.

don't fret

With the holiday season fast approaching (how did that happen!?) most mothers (note: I did not mention Dad's . . . :) ) start thinking they need to get that "perfect family photo" for their up-and-coming Christmas Card. Let's be honest . . . getting family photos taken can be a stressful and exhausting event. What should we wear? Do we try to match? (tip: the answer to that question is no --- think layering, texture, accessories, and pops of color) Where should we go to take the photo? Should I ask my mom or my neighbor to take it? What will I have to do to get my husband to agree to it? Will my children even smile? Maybe I should just go through my own photos and just pick one where my kids look half-way descent and just forget the whole idea.

Never fear, your Friends are here to save the day! Make us do all the work. We will help you with wardrobe questions/suggestions. We will pick a great location. We will jump up and down, sing songs, blow bubbles and bribe your children with candy to get them to have fun so they give the camera adorable (and real) smiles. Your husband will be too embarrassed to act like a baby in front of us. AND we will even custom design your Holiday Cards for you with our adorable designs . . . and if your looking for a card that will stand out from all the rest . . . we offer LUXE cards which feature unique shapes (think scalloped edges, ornate shapes and even round cards that double as ornaments!) with a boutique look!

Meet a family who decided to let us do the work for them :)

You're welcome.

newbies

Yes, we have been very bad about keeping up with this blog lately . . . however, it's because we have been so busy with fall photo shoots and all the editing that comes with it!  Good thing we L.O.V.E what we do!

Speaking of loving what we do . . . we would like to introduce you to a few of the sweetest, cutest, cuddliest little clients we have had to date. Hold on to you hearts - - they are about to melt.

pink

Who doesn't know a 4 year old girl who doesn't love pink?! Okay, maybe there are a few that don't, but this little darling was no exception to the "rule of pink". We had an amazing time at Minihaha Falls Park with this mother-daughter-duo! We enjoyed beautiful weather, a pink tutu and matching accessories from Addielynn's Bowtique, balloons, an adorable (and happy and well behaved!) little girl, an equally as beautiful mama, and a waterfall!! Sounds like perfection to us :)

baby love

We fell instantly in love with Baby "L".  What is not to love about his fingers, his toes, and his cute, little nose? And of course, we can't forget to mention his head full of dark, handsome hair.  My Friends Photography thinks photographing newborns is absolutely the best.  Not only do we get to take photographs of  beautiful babies, we get to cuddle them. Perhaps you might even talk us into changing a diaper or two!

L-O-V-E

Have we ever told you how much we love our job! It may sound a little cliche, but we absolutely adore being able to capture "true love" every time we do a photo session. Whether that love is between a mother and her 1 week old first born, a family a five, or a set of young siblings, it is always so much fun to watch everyone interact with each other and be able to turn those interactions into life-long memories that can be frozen in time and cherished by all.

We had such a great time following this engaged couple around some of their favorite stomping grounds. This couple is a "little bit country" (please excuse the Donny and Marie Osmond pun . . . wow, never thought I'd go there!) when talking about where they were born and raised. But they are also a "little bit city" (bet you thought I was going to say "rock and roll") when thinking about where they like to spend their time and hang out.

Better get used to it "R" . . . she will always be the victor!! :)

It's really fun hanging out with young couples who are about to tie the knot. Their love is so simple, so true and so strong. It's fun to see how much they already know about one another, and also fun to think that they are just beginning their life-long journey together as a couple and will learn so much more and love so much more about each other in the years and decades to come. Everything just feels so pure.

Thanks D and R for letting us capture your life-long love! Congratulations to you both!
